The first phase of revamping the Mortenson Library included a three-story addition to the north side of the building with floor-to-ceiling windows on each level, providing beautiful scenic views of the Park River. The main level of the new addition houses a high-tech learning commons center and the upper levels are open to overlook the lower learning area.
The Allen Library moved from its previous space into the new, much larger, 6,475 sf space on the lower level of the Mortenson Library but still maintains it’s identity as specifically music and dance materials support to the Hartt School.
Working with the design team and campus officials, CES provided complete MEP/FP engineering design services for this renovation and addition project.
