CES provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection engineering design for the renovation of approximately 8,000 square feet within the University of Connecticut’s Jones Annex Building. The project consolidated the Soil Nutrient Analysis Lab, Home & Garden Education Center, and Plant Diagnostic Center into a single location to improve operational efficiency, collaboration, and support for research and educational activities.

The renovation created specialized laboratory spaces for soil analysis, plant diagnostics, sample preparation, chemical storage, instrumentation, and faculty research, along with offices and support areas. CES designed building systems to support the unique environmental, utility, and infrastructure requirements of modern laboratory spaces while integrating the renovated facilities within the existing building.
