TD Garden

Boston, MA

Location: Boston, MA
Architect: FSMY Architects
Scope of Services: MEP/FP

Replacing the iconic Boston Garden, TD Garden opened in 1995 as a multipurpose sports and performance arena, home to the Bruins, Celtics, and numerous other events. CES has an ongoing relationship with the Garden and is the Engineer of Record for multiple projects.

CES provided MEP engineering design services and construction administration for the Bruin’s Proshop. The Proshop was located on the west end of the North Station concourse near the Garden’s box office and is now located on Level 2. The new shop has twice the retail capacity of its former 2,800 square foot space with now over 6,000 square feet of new space including office space.

Other renovations completed by CES include an ambitious list of upgrades and changes requiring tying individual systems back into the main building systems. The Bruins’ Proshop was relocated and expanded, including a complete redesign of concourses on levels four and seven.  Renovations were made to the Garden’s concessions and the Legends Club, the arena’s largest private hospitality space. The Legends Club houses the Celtics’ Courtside club and serves eligible Bruins and Celtics season-ticket holders exclusively.  New LED lighting was installed in the hockey rink to better light the ice. CES also renovated several of the VIP suites with new lighting, bar, and food service on the 5 and 6th levels.
