This new Net Zero Energy Home in Stowe, VT is a full time residence. The home features a very tight building envelope with cellulose building insulation, LED lighting, and high performance windows. The heating/ cooling system is a high efficiency Mitsubishi air source heat pump. An HRV whole home ventilation system extracts stale air from bathrooms and kitchen and introduces preheated or precooled outside air to bedrooms and living spaces. With a roof-mounted solar PV system and utility net metering this result in a Net Zero energy bill.
