This new two-story, three-bay fire station anchors the City’s long-range facilities plan, funded by a $40 million general obligation bond. Serving as the centralized hub for both Fire Administration and Operations, the design sets the tone for future city facilities with a cohesive architectural language.
Firefighter health and safety are prioritized through forward-thinking design strategies such as the Hot Zone concept, which separates and cleans contaminated gear and personnel to prevent the spread of carcinogens into living and working spaces.
A striking metal façade on the building’s south side, crafted from recycled materials and fabricated using 100% renewable energy, underscores the City’s commitment to sustainability.
CES provided full MEP/FP engineering design for the 18,000 SF facility, including specialized exhaust systems serving garage bays, living quarters, offices, fitness spaces, and decontamination areas. A $2.5 million Resilient Florida Grant helped offset construction costs.
