CES provided MEP/FP engineering design services for this renovation project at Oak Bluffs Town Hall. In an effort to attain a fossil fuel free building, an all electric heating and cooling system consisting of high efficiency air-sourced heat pumps and heat pump water heaters was implemented. During design, significant coordination was required for lighting, ductwork and other utilities due to the large open volume, open ceiling areas of the building. CES also conducted energy modeling to help drive envelope decisions such as the thickness of insulation, glazing, and exterior shading. Other system specifics include a Dedicated Outdoor Air System (DOAS), LED Lighting, and daylighting controls.
