CES provided MEP engineering design services for an ice rink and fountain within a 28 acre park. The design was intended to be fun and inviting as well as energy efficient. The ice rink and fountain opened for the 2018 winter season, with plans for a future clubhouse including a restaurant, observation deck and multiple rentable event spaces.
Energy efficient features include using heat generated from ice making to heat the building and a heat harvesting roof system to provide hot water for the restaurant. Electrical components include 2500A NEMA 3R switchgear, electrical and control infrastructure supporting ice rink chiller and refrigeration, fountain pumps and control, LED rink lighting, rink AV system, remote company switches for event power. The service was sized for a future clubhouse with food service.
