Housatonic Community College

The expansion and renovation work to this thriving Community College more than doubled the size of Lafayette Hall, one of two buildings composing the Housatonic campus. In just 10 years, enrollment has nearly doubled to over 5,300 students. A new four story portion was added to the existing building and select areas were renovated. Equipment was replaced or reused as needed. The college now has an enlarged library, new science labs and additional offices for student services. During design and construction, CES worked with the department and entire design team to develop building commissioning consistent with the State’s High Performance Building Standards. The building has also received LEED Silver certification.
