Energy Recovery System LED Lighting Rooftop Solar, 92 kW |
The new Prek-5 aerospace and engineering magnet school provides a unique learning experience focused in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The building’s radial design and form are sited so that students can experience the earth’s changing position relative to the sun’s solstice.
The elaborately curved building design required careful coordination and 3D modeling to design bends in the piping and duct work that would properly fit the structure. Building systems feature variable air volume systems with perimeter radiation from condensing boilers and energy recovery system. There is a 92 kW roof mounted solar array and LED lighting was designed throughout.
