Van Horn’s Steak House brings a New York-style dining experience to downtown Austin through the renovation of an existing 2,000-square-foot space. Prior to renovation, CES provided a mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and lighting existing conditions assessment to evaluate the building’s capacity to support the new restaurant. By assessing the base building’s four-pipe chilled water system and existing MEP infrastructure, CES identified the improvements needed to accommodate the open-concept kitchen while maximizing the use of existing systems.
The resulting report gave the project team a clear understanding of the building’s capabilities and deficiencies, providing practical recommendations that informed the renovation strategy while minimizing unnecessary system modifications.
