As Connecticut’s largest gastroenterology practice, CT GI operates numerous locations across the state, providing advanced digestive health care in both outpatient and hospital settings. Their newest clinic and procedural suite builds on this legacy, expanding access to high-quality endoscopic care in a thoughtfully designed new space.
The project converted an existing commercial tenant space into a fully functioning endoscopic procedure facility, featuring four procedure rooms, pre- and post-op bays, exam rooms, decontamination and endoscopic processing rooms, and clinical support spaces. CES provided MEP/FP engineering design services for the fit-out, incorporating high-efficiency gas-fired boilers, air-cooled chillers, applied hot water and chilled water air handling units, and VRF systems for space conditioning.
Working within a building not originally designed for multi-tenant medical use presented unique infrastructure challenges. CES coordinated closely with the landlord and utility providers to isolate services and ensure system performance. Long-lead items were expedited to support the construction schedule, and extensive field work helped verify proper commissioning. The result: a smooth DPH inspection and an on-time opening for CT GI’s latest facility.
