The Center for Cancer Care was designed to incorporate Griffin’s Planetree philosophy of patient-oriented care and includes elements that provide a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere for radiation and oncology patients. CES designed indirect lighting, climate controls and sound masking which will characterize this ambulatory center as one of distinction for putting patients first.

CES also provided commissioning services for the facility that included the central building automation system and all HVAC systems. Involved from pre-design through the warranty phase, CES worked as a commissioning agent to develop detailed specifications and review designs to make sure the owner’s objectives were met. During construction, start-up, and the initial period of operation, CES developed and coordinated the execution of a testing plan, which included observing and documenting all system’s performance to assure that systems function in accordance with the owner’s objectives and the contract documents. CES also confirmed and documented that the facility fulfilled the functional and performance requirements of the building owner, occupants, and operators. In addition, CES provided complete operation and maintenance manuals, as well as training on system operation to building operators.
